Vision Quest FAQ’s
-
A Vision Quest is an intentional rite of passage — a structured time of stepping away from daily roles, noise, and obligations in order to gain clarity, perspective, and alignment.
Across cultures, Vision Quests have marked moments of transition: changes in identity, leadership, responsibility, or direction. In this modern context, the Quest is designed for people who sense that something needs to shift — not because things are falling apart, but because the way forward requires deeper listening than everyday life allows.
This isn’t about escaping your life. It’s about returning to it with greater clarity and integrity.
-
Vision Quests tend to resonate with people who are already capable and accomplished, but are standing at a meaningful threshold.
Often this includes people who:
carry significant responsibility for others
have achieved external success but feel internally misaligned
are navigating identity shifts, leadership transitions, or second-half questions
sense that pace, direction, or priorities need recalibration
People don’t come to a Vision Quest because they’re lost. They come because they’re ready to stop overriding what they already know.
-
Each Quest follows a clear and deliberate arc:
Preparation — intention setting, guidance, and readiness
Severance — stepping away from roles, inputs, and obligations
Threshold — extended time in silence and solitude in nature
Integration — translating insight into lived decisions and directionThe structure is consistent. The experience is personal.
Some people encounter clarity. Others encounter discomfort, grief, or a quiet remembering. What emerges isn’t forced or manufactured — it arises through stillness, attention, and sustained presence.
-
It can be spiritual, but it is not religious.
There is no belief system, ideology, or dogma being taught. The work is grounded in nature, presence, and direct experience. People from a wide range of backgrounds and worldviews participate comfortably.
-
No.
Vision Quests do not involve psychedelics, plant medicines, or any mind-altering substances.
The altered state comes from silence, solitude, time in nature, and sustained presence — not from chemical intervention. This work is intentionally substance-free, designed to cultivate clarity that is grounded, integrated, and fully your own.
-
Not always.
Some Vision Quests include fasting or simplified nourishment as a way to quiet the system and heighten awareness. Others do not. When fasting is part of the experience, it is approached thoughtfully, safely, and with preparation.
All expectations are communicated clearly in advance.
-
This depends on the specific Quest.
Some experiences involve hiking or extended time outdoors; others are more stationary. Physical requirements are always shared ahead of time so participants can make informed decisions.
This work is not about pushing your body past its limits. It’s about listening to it more clearly.
-
Yes — when done properly.
Safety is a core priority, both physically and psychologically. Each Quest is designed with preparation, clear boundaries, check-ins, and contingency planning.
Participants are supported before, during, and after the experience.
-
Yes.
Some people choose a private Vision Quest — either solo or with a small group — aligned to a specific life moment, partnership, or leadership threshold. Others reserve an entire Quest for their company, family, or community.
Custom experiences are designed collaboratively and intentionally.
-
The cost of the Vision Quest is $5,000. This includes group preparation, 1:1 coaching, on-the-ground facilitation, and integration support. Travel to and from the location is not included unless otherwise noted.
A 50% non-refundable deposit ($2,500) is required to reserve your place. The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to the start of the quest, when group preparation and 1:1 coaching begin.
For participants who register within 45 days of the start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
If plans change more than 45 days in advance, the deposit may be applied to a future Vision Quest at my discretion. Within 45 days of the start date, all payments are non-refundable.
This commitment marks the beginning of the work.
-
Yes. A limited number of partial scholarships are available for those who feel deeply called to the work but may need support. If this applies to you, please mention it in your application. Requests are considered thoughtfully and confidentially.
Coaching FAQ’s
-
Coaching with me is steady, relational, and direct.
I don’t come in as an expert with answers you don’t have. I’m likely no smarter than you — I’ve just been where you are and figured some things out the hard way. I know what it’s like to carry responsibility, to hold the weight of decisions that affect others, and to quietly question whether the life you’ve built is still aligned.
My role isn’t to fix you or push you toward more. It’s to walk beside you while you reconnect with what you already know — and to help you live and lead from that place with greater clarity, integrity, and ease.
-
I work primarily with founders, executives, and leaders who are in a season of transition.
Often they’re capable, respected, and successful — but sensing that something needs to shift. Sometimes it’s direction. Sometimes it’s pace. Sometimes it’s identity, purpose, or how they’re relating to their work, family, or themselves.
People come to this work not because they’re broken, but because they’re done overriding their inner signal.
-
Sessions focus on what’s real and alive for you.
That might include:
clarifying a decision or direction
working through internal friction or second-guessing
reconnecting with values, intuition, and energy
slowing the nervous system so insight can emerge
navigating leadership, relationships, or life transitions
We don’t chase outcomes or manufacture breakthroughs. We create the conditions where clarity shows up naturally — often by doing less, not more.
-
This work is not therapy, consulting, or advice-giving.
I’m not diagnosing, treating, or telling you what to do. And I’m not handing you frameworks to apply mechanically.
Instead, we focus on awareness, presence, and alignment — helping you hear yourself more clearly and make decisions that feel true in your body, not just defensible in your head.
Many clients pair this work with therapy or other support. Coaching complements that work, but it isn’t a replacement for clinical care.
-
Coaching is typically ongoing and evolves as you do.
Some seasons are reflective and clarifying. Others are more directional and integrative. We move at a pace that respects your responsibilities, your nervous system, and the reality of your life.
Over time, clients often notice:
stronger self-trust
clearer boundaries
fewer performative decisions
a steadier internal compass
The goal isn’t reinvention. It’s alignment.
-
They work together naturally.
A Vision Quest can create perspective and clarity. Coaching helps you integrate that clarity into everyday life — your leadership, relationships, and decisions.
Some people begin with coaching. Others come to coaching after a Quest. There’s no prescribed order — only what’s supportive in this season.
-
You don’t need certainty. You need resonance.
If something in you recognizes this work — not with excitement, but with a quiet sense of this feels right — that’s usually enough to start a conversation.
This work asks for presence, responsibility, and honesty. If that feels aligned, we can talk and see what makes sense.
Fit & Readiness FAQ’s
-
You don’t need certainty. You need honesty.
Most people who come to this work already sense that something is shifting. Not because things are broken, but because the way they’ve been living, leading, or relating no longer feels fully aligned.
If you feel a quiet pull rather than excitement — a sense of this might be important — that’s often a good signal. This work tends to call people when they’re ready to listen more deeply, not when they’re looking for answers to be handed to them.
-
This work is especially supportive during moments of transition.
That might include:
a shift in leadership, identity, or direction
a growing sense that pace or priorities need recalibration
questions about purpose, integrity, or how you want to live the next chapter
a feeling that you’ve outgrown old strategies, even if they once worked
You don’t need to be in crisis. In fact, many people arrive when things look “fine” on the outside — but feel incomplete on the inside.
-
People who benefit most are willing to:
slow down rather than rush toward solutions
take responsibility for their choices
be honest with themselves, even when it’s uncomfortable
listen to their body and inner signal, not just their intellect
This work rewards presence, patience, and integrity more than effort or intensity.
-
This work may not be supportive if you’re looking for:
quick fixes or dramatic breakthroughs
external validation or reassurance
someone to tell you what to do
performance hacks or productivity tools
It also may not be the right time if you’re unwilling or unable to slow down enough to listen.
There’s no judgment in that — just timing.
-
It asks for presence, responsibility, and a willingness to stay with what arises.
You don’t need to have a clear goal or outcome in mind. But you do need to be willing to engage honestly, to take ownership of your experience, and to integrate what you discover back into your life.
This isn’t about disappearing from your world. It’s about returning to it more aligned.
-
That’s okay.
This work doesn’t require urgency. If something here resonates but you’re unsure about timing or fit, we can have a conversation and see what feels right.
Sometimes the most aligned choice is to wait. Discernment is part of the work.
Workshops & Retreats
-
I design and facilitate workshops and retreats for leadership teams, founder groups, and organizations who want to slow things down enough to think clearly, communicate honestly, and realign around what matters.
These experiences are less about teaching concepts and more about creating the conditions for insight, trust, and perspective to emerge — individually and collectively.
-
These workshops are best suited for founders, executives, leadership teams, and peer groups who are navigating growth, transition, or complexity.
They’re especially valuable when:
the pace has outstripped clarity
communication feels strained or surface-level
decisions carry real consequence
a group needs to reconnect to purpose, trust, or direction
This work assumes maturity, responsibility, and a willingness to engage honestly.
-
Each workshop or retreat is shaped around the specific context and intention of the group, but common themes include:
clarity and alignment
leadership presence and decision-making
communication and trust
navigating transition or inflection points
reconnecting to values and shared purpose
The work is experiential, reflective, and grounded — not performative or abstract.
-
Formats range depending on the needs of the group and the depth desired.
This can include:
half-day or full-day workshops
multi-day retreats
outdoor or nature-based experiences
private sessions for intact teams or peer forums
We design the format collaboratively to serve the moment you’re in.
-
Yes — always.
I don’t run off-the-shelf programs. Each experience is tailored to the people, context, and intention involved. That includes pacing, structure, location, and focus.
Discretion and care are central to this work.
-
Yes.
I work with organizations that value depth, clarity, and human leadership — and who understand that better decisions come from presence, trust, and alignment, not just speed.
This work often complements strategic planning, leadership development, or off-site work by addressing what those processes alone can’t.
-
They’re distinct, but aligned.
Workshops and retreats focus on groups and shared context. Vision Quests and coaching focus on the individual. Some organizations choose to combine these approaches over time, depending on what’s most supportive.
There’s no one right structure — only what serves the people involved.
-
If your group values:
honesty over performance
clarity over speed
depth over novelty
then this work is likely a fit.
If you’re unsure, a conversation can help clarify whether this approach makes sense for your team or community.
Logistics & Practicalities
-
Experiences are held in carefully chosen natural locations that support safety, solitude, and depth. Locations are selected for their ability to hold quiet, perspective, and containment — not for novelty or extremes.
Specific details are always shared well in advance so participants can prepare thoughtfully.
-
Group experiences are intentionally small, typically 8–10 participants.
This allows for proper support, safety, and depth — and ensures the experience doesn’t become performative or diluted.
-
Preparation is an important part of the work.
Before any Vision Quest or retreat, participants receive guidance around intention-setting, logistics, physical readiness, and what to expect. This helps ensure people arrive grounded, informed, and oriented.
Integration support is also provided so insights don’t stay abstract or fade once you return to daily life.
-
Safety is taken seriously — physically, psychologically, and emotionally.
Experiences are designed with clear boundaries, preparation, check-ins, and contingency planning. This is not a “figure it out on your own” environment. Support is present throughout the experience.
-
Discretion matters.
Many participants are leaders, founders, or public-facing individuals. What’s shared during these experiences stays within the container. Respect for privacy is foundational to the work.
-
Pricing reflects the preparation, guidance, time, and care involved.
This work is best approached as a meaningful investment — not just financially, but in attention, presence, and willingness. Details are shared clearly during the inquiry or registration process.
Next Steps
-
If something here resonates, the next step is simple.
You can join the interest list for upcoming Vision Quests or retreats, or reach out to start a conversation. There’s no pressure to decide quickly.
-
That’s completely fine.
Discernment is part of the work. A short conversation can help clarify whether now is the right time — or whether waiting makes more sense.
-
You’re welcome to reach out directly through the site.
This work begins with conversation, not commitment.
